In 2025 I did a work road trip starting from Berlin, through Prague, and ending in Budapest. The only time I’ve been to Budapest before that was in 2016, when I was living in the Netherlands, and a lot has happened in Hungary during these years, so I was curious to see how things are, and to meet some of the locals.
I lingered for a few weeks, and overall enjoyed my visit to Budapest. I found it all quite charming, lots of things to see and do, many cultural events, lots of great restaurant and places to hang out, lots to do in the area, great nomad hangouts to work, fun meetups. I thought I’d definitely want to go back and visit again when I can.
