In 2024 I flew in to visit University of Reading, with a long flight from Hong Kong for a short weekend, exploring a bit of the small town. This was winter time, so it was cold and gloomy, and I had limited time to explore, but still managed to do quite a bit.
I started off from the old town, then went to the University of Reading campus and one funky folk museum about life in the region, associated with the University, and the next day caught a small group walking tour of Reading to get to know a bit of its history. For a little town, it seemed to have quite a bit going for it, and it’s about half an hour from London by train and quite close to other major destinations in the UK for those needing easy getaways.
So, here are my first visions of travel impressions of Reading, England…
