On the way from Mexico to the United States, I was looking for a destination I have not been to yet that would allow me to continue towards Philadelphia, and saw a flight going through Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic. I have never been, and wasn’t sure what to expect and so without any info or planning, I made a stop for a couple of days. I really didn’t get to see much of the country aside from the capital city, and though it has a nice colonial center, it was pretty basic, so I’m not sure what to think of it. I’ll likely need to come back in order to form a better understanding a more lasting impression of this country.
