This is a travel blog written by an academic nomad, wandering around the world. It started in 2005 in backpacking through Asia, and has since continued through ~2 years in Taiwan, ~2 years in the US, ~2 years in the Netherlands, and ~12 years in Hong Kong. My current base is in Austria. Even when I have a base, I move around constantly.
A note – This blog started as a personal blog, but since grew to be more of a collection of experiences, places visited, and photos taken. Posts are randomly submitted in a deliberate attempt to mix adventures from around the world. This means that only few of the posts are in real time while others can be as old as a few years back.
In the 20 years I’ve been doing this blog, I’ve become a much busier person so in the last few years I’ve had less time to update the blog. Interest from family and friends as well as international traffic has also been constantly declining. Still, I atleast try and do the highlights with “Visions” photo summary posts to keep up to date all that I’ve been doing, and then an annual yearly summaries about my adventures. It’s of service to me to keep track of my adventures. Hopefully, it will also be of interest and of service to others.
